Why Artists Choose Carolina Bronze
Creating a bronze sculpture is more than a manufacturing process. It’s a commitment of trust between an artist and a foundry. Our team works with you to preserve detail, solve technical challenges, and deliver enduring works of art that meet the highest standards of fine art casting.
3D Scanning & Digital Preservation
If you have a maquette or finished sculpture that needs to be resized, enlarged, 3D printed, digital refinement, or simply preserved for the future, our high-resolution 3D scanning captures it with precision.
CNC Foam Enlargement Armature
Using CNC foam enlarging in 4lb density urethane foam, we produce a pose-accurate, full-scale lightweight armature that lets sculptors refine their work in clay with far less material and waste than traditional methods demand.
Mold Making
At the heart of our foundry is our molding process. While the steps remain the same, our methods and materials are updated to provide artists with some of the longest lasting, most accurate molds modern technology allows.
Lost Wax Casting
Accurate molds result in accurate waxes, prepared by highly skilled artisans with attention to detail. Accurate waxes are a crucial step in the millennia old lost wax process. That attention means that with our ceramic investment molds our bronze captures details as fine as fingerprints.
Welding & Metal Finishing
Our expert metal welding and finishing results in strong joints that are blended seamlessly with the artist’s own textures. Internal armatures are built to meet engineering standards resulting in sculptures safe for public display.
Expert Patination
Our expert patinas are custom-formulated and applied to match your artistic vision.
Engineering & Installation
A sculpture is not truly finished until it is installed. We engineer and install sculptures on bases made of metal, concrete, or stone. We also can crate, ship, deliver and install onsite life-size and monumental sculptures.
Restoration & Repair
Depending on the exact size and detail of a monumental sculpture, they can easily cost over $100,000. Bronze is a very durable and long-lasting material, but the quality of the patina can be impacted by time and environment. Our team is capable of maintaining, restoring, and repairing bronze sculptures and patinas keeping your sculptures looking the way the artist intended.
Sculptor Partnerships
Have a project but no sculptor yet? We can recommend an artist from our trusted network or connect you with the in-house sculptors we work with directly. So, your commission has the right hands on it from day one.
As professionals who live in the craft of sculpture every day, we understand the details that separate a good public artwork from a great one: sound engineering, faithful casting, and metal finishing that honors the artist's original intent.
Built by an Artist, for Artists
Carolina Bronze Sculpture was founded by Ed Walker, a sculptor in his own right, on the belief that a foundry should serve the artist's vision, not compromise it. That principle still guides every commission that comes through our doors in Seagrove, North Carolina, where our team combines hands-on craftmanship with the discipline of a modern manufacturing process.
From initial concept to finished, installed sculpture, our goal is simple: exceed your expectations in quality, service, and care on every project, regardless of size.
Visit the Foundry
Our gallery and production facility are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and tours are available by appointment. Seeing the bronze casting process in person from sculpted clay to finished patina, is the best way to understand the craft behind every piece we make.

"Ed and Melissa, and the entire Carolina Bronze crew,
You all are AMAZING, and I am forever grateful to you for your hard work and sacrifice in salvaging that project for myself and the students who came on toward the end to help me. I don't know of any other way to express my deep appreciation and gratitude, but I will forever sing your praises."

"Thank you to all of you at Carolina Bronze for putting the highest quality and skill into this very special piece! I am still blown away by what you have done so far and have looked at the pictures over a hundred times already! It is a dream come true and I know that Ryan would be so proud of this. Thank you"

“I was very much impressed with your facility, it’s organization and the fine examples of the work that you have done. Your obviously high standards of professionalism are a quality that I have been seeking in a foundry for years, but until now have not found. I look forward to the coming years of collaboration with great anticipation.”
