Boundless
At 7:30pm on May 5, 2022 Stephen Hayes’s sculpture Boundless was featured on PBS NC’s Visibly Speaking program. Boundless focuses on the US Colored Troop Regiments that fought for their freedom in the Battle of Forks Road outside of Wilmington NC. The battlefield is on the site of the Cameron Art Museum. Therefore, the Cameron Art Museum commissioned Stephen Hayes to sculpt a memorial to raise awareness of the contributions of the USCT in the Civil War.
In order to turn Stephen’s clay sculpture into a bronze memorial the Cameron contacted us at Carolina Bronze Sculpture. We Watch the PBS video to see some of the creative process used by Stephen Hayes to honor and preserve the contributions of the 5th Ohio regiment of the USCT.
The process of creating the bronze sculpture was captured in various stages by our marketing department. To see behind the scenes glimpses of the creation of this and other monuments sign up for our newsletter to get the latest news of unveilings, sneak peeks and upcoming events.
